First shown at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, the Citroën SM brought together the best of both worlds: the hydropneumatic suspension developed by the French brand and the powerful Maserati V6 engine. Clearly ahead of its time in terms of design and technology, the Citroën SM was only produced for 5 years, with an estimated number of just 13.000 cars leaving the factory.
The SM was initially equipped with a 2700cc V6 engine, having seen its capacity increased to 3 liters in 1973. Surprisingly, despite not being the most powerful car at the time, it was considered the fastest in the world among front-wheel drive models, reaching a top speed of 225 km/h.
Initially sold in Germany, this Citroën SM is in excellent condition, having undergone a complete restoration that maintained all of its originality.
